These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of www.anchorandsealnotary.ca
(the “Site”). The Site is owned and operated by Anchor & Seal Notary (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using this Site or booking services through it, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms at all times.

1. No Legal Advice or Solicitor-Client Relationship
Anchor & Seal Notary provides notary public and commissioner services in and for the Province of Ontario.
We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. Any information on this Site is provided for general informational purposes only. Your use of this Site or our services does not create a solicitor-client relationship.
If you require legal advice, interpretation, or document preparation beyond administrative assistance, you must consult a licensed Ontario lawyer.

2. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site, including but not limited to text, images, logos, graphics, documents, and downloadable materials, is the property of Anchor & Seal Notary or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or exploit any content without prior written consent.

All services are provided as-is and must be paid in full as outlined at the time of booking.

We reserve the right to modify, refuse, or cancel services. If a service is cancelled by us after payment, a refund equal to the amount paid will be issued.

6. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree that:

Valid, government-issued photo identification must be provided

Documents must be complete and accurate before notarization

Anchor & Seal Notary is not responsible for third-party rejection of documents

Fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful documents will not be notarized
-
We reserve the right to refuse service and report suspected fraud to appropriate authorities.

7. Third-Party Goods and Services
The Site may reference or link to third-party services. We do not control or guarantee their accuracy, quality, or availability and are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Payments
We accept the following payment methods:

By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the selected payment method. We reserve the right to cancel transactions that appear unlawful or violate these Terms.

9. Refunds, Cancellations & Fees

Partial Refunds: Up to 50% where an error attributable to us cannot be remedied

Cancellations: Two (2) hour notice required for a full refund

Late Cancellations: $10 fee

No-Shows: $10 fee
-
Late Arrival (10+ minutes): $5 fee
-
Rescheduling with less than 2 hour notice: $10 fee

10. Messaging & Communications
By providing contact information, you consent to receive:

Transactional messages: confirmations, reminders, updates

Marketing messages: service announcements and promotions

11. Links to Other Websites
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Use of third-party sites is at your own risk.

12. Non-Disparagement
Clients agree not to make false or misleading statements about Anchor & Seal Notary, its services, or affiliates. Legitimate concerns should first be addressed directly with us.
Nothing in this clause restricts lawful or truthful reviews.

13. Compliance With Laws
Clients must comply with all applicable laws. We will not provide services for illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive purposes and may report violations to authorities.

14. Electronic Transactions
By using the Site or booking services, you consent to electronic agreements, communications, and signatures, which shall have the same legal effect as physical signatures.

15. No Guarantee of Outcome
We do not guarantee acceptance of notarized documents by third parties (including courts, government agencies, or financial institutions). Clients are responsible for confirming document requirements in advance.

16. Website Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted website access and are not liable for delays or disruptions due to technical issues. If an appointment is affected, reasonable rescheduling efforts will be made.

17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anchor & Seal Notary shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Site or services.

18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anchor & Seal Notary from claims arising from your misuse of the Site or breach of these Terms.

19. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or system failures.

20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable therein. All disputes shall be brought in Ontario courts.

21. Dispute Resolution
Disputes will first be addressed through informal discussion, then non-binding mediation, and finally binding arbitration if required. Either party may pursue claims in Small Claims Court or seek injunctive relief.

22. Severability
If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain enforceable.

23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Changes will be posted on the Site and may also be communicated via email. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
